




RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Perform maintenance and cleaning of equipment, checking supplies, reagents, and consumables * Register patient data in the system according to medical request and current rules for request acceptance * Fill out department control spreadsheets * Reconstitute controls and calibrators required by the department, when applicable (Immunochemistry and Emergency) * Assist in quality control processing * Release Level I results * Verify sample quality upon receipt, recording non-conformities (acceptance under restriction) and/or need for recollection (rejection) * Process routine biological samples * Conduct inventory of department supplies * Request reagents for subsequent routines * Monitor delay statistics * Generate quarantine and delayed sample reports * Perform manual tests * Store and dispose of serum bank samples (cold chamber and refrigerators) within the defined timeframe * Contact technical support when necessary * Resolve mechanical issues with equipment when needed * Assist in training new department staff in performed activities * Collect biological samples when necessary * Clean and organize workbenches and the department in general * Dispose of waste according to PGRSS * Record data generated in the department in the appropriate spreadsheets * Follow established routines for the department. REQUIREMENTS: * TECHNICAL EDUCATION IN CLINICAL ANALYSIS, CLINICAL PATHOLOGY OR PURSUING HIGHER EDUCATION IN BIOMEDICINE OR PHARMACY; * DESIRABLE MINIMUM EXPERIENCE OF 6 MONTHS IN TEST PROCESSING.
