Forestry Supervisor –
1\. Position Identification

2\. Position Mission
Ensure efficient, standardized, and technically accurate execution of forestry activities (soil preparation, planting, cultural practices, replanting, ant control, fertilization, and stand management), guaranteeing per-hectare productivity, planting quality, and strict control over costs, timelines, and safety.
3\. Key Responsibilities Planning and Operational Execution
* Execute silvicultural planning according to the technical schedule.
* Ensure achievement of targets for:
* Hectares planted per day
* Failure rate (%)
* Survival rate
* Cost per hectare
* Coordinate soil preparation (subsoiling, harrowing, liming).
* Supervise manual or mechanized planting.
* Ensure correct spacing (e.g., 3x1, 3x2, etc.).
* Monitor replanting within the appropriate technical window.
Cultural Practices
* Supervise:
* Weed competition control
* Herbicide application
* Ant control
* Top-dressing fertilization
* Monitor initial development of the stand.
* Ensure correct application of inputs as per agronomic prescription.
Control and Indicators
* Calculate and report:
* Actual cost per hectare
* Cost per closed stand
* Input consumption
* Team productivity
* Verify daily activity records.
* Validate working hours for internal and third-party teams.
* Report technical or operational deviations.
People Management
* Lead field teams.
* Enforce operational discipline.
* Ensure proper use of PPE.
* Train teams on:
* Planting quality
* Workplace safety
* Technical standardization
Equipment and Resources
* Control proper use of:
* Planters
* Subsoilers
* Sprayers
* Report maintenance needs.
* Prevent waste of seedlings and inputs.
Safety and Compliance
* Ensure no activity occurs outside environmental regulations.
* Comply with requirements for Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs), Legal Reserves, and permits.
* Prohibit unauthorized activities.
* Ensure traceability of applied inputs.

5\. Requirements Education
* Agricultural Technician / Forestry Technician (preferred)
* Proven experience in eucalyptus silviculture
Experience
* Minimum 3–5 years in forest operations
* Experience managing large areas (multi-stand)
Technical Knowledge
* Planting spacing and density
* Soil correction
* Ant management
* Herbicides and safe application
* Basic map and stand interpretation
