As **Legal Coordinator**, you will be responsible for managing legal department activities, ensuring efficient execution of operational routines, providing technical support to internal departments, and overseeing judicial and administrative proceedings—with a focus on risk mitigation and legal compliance. You will guide the team, interface with external law firms, ensure legal support for business operations, and strengthen corporate governance. The **DNA** of every **UBY** employee makes them unique! ***\#grupoubyagro*** ***\#vemprauby*** ***\#somosubyfolianos*** ***\#somosubylovers*** **Responsibilities and Duties** **In this role, you will be responsible for:** * Leading the legal department, defining priorities, strategies, and operating models; * Coordinating and developing the legal team, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational culture; * Managing external law firms, negotiating scope, monitoring performance, and controlling costs; * Establishing and tracking departmental metrics (litigation, contracts, risks, legal costs); * Serving as the company’s primary legal contact for the executive board; * Advising senior leadership on decision-making by assessing legal risks and business impacts; * Developing and implementing legal strategies aligned with company objectives; * Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies; * Handling corporate governance matters, ensuring best practices and legal security; * Coordinating judicial and administrative proceedings (labor, civil, tax, and regulatory); * Defining defense strategies and directing proceedings in coordination with external law firms; * Seeking reduction of liabilities and mitigation of legal risks; * Monitoring contingency indicators and management reports; * Coordinating and validating the company’s strategic contracts; * Ensuring legal security in commercial and institutional operations; * Providing consultative support to internal departments, with a preventive focus; * Supporting key negotiations, safeguarding the company’s interests; * Coordinating corporate actions (AGM, EGM, board meetings, and others); * Ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and legal requirements; * Monitoring legislative changes and assessing business impact; * Supporting internal and external audits; * Ensuring proper document organization, legal controls, and information traceability; * Supporting compliance and risk management initiatives. **Requirements and Qualifications** **To succeed in this position, you must:** **Required** * Bachelor’s degree in Law with active registration at the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB); * Experience in the legal field in a leadership/management role; * Knowledge and practical experience in Labor, Social Security, Corporate, and Civil Law, as well as Business Legislation; * Experience in contract and litigation management, and management of third-party law firms.
