This is a fundamental position to ensure excellence in transfusion medicine services. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory analyses, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, and contributing to hospital infection control. Experience in a Blood Transfusion Agency is essential for this position. The candidate must demonstrate a proven track record working in blood transfusion environments, with solid technical skills to handle rigorous laboratory procedures. Additionally, in-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations governing transfusion medicine is required, ensuring all procedures comply with established guidelines. The candidate must have a clear understanding of hospital infection control practices. This includes implementing preventive measures, maintaining safe environments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to minimize infection risks. Knowledge of hospital infection control is crucial to ensure patient and medical staff safety. Responsibilities: * Collect and centrifuge blood samples, ensuring sample integrity and traceability. * Perform inspection, cleaning, and checklists of the technical area and equipment, as well as monitor scheduled preventive maintenance activities. * Monitor and record daily temperatures, cleaning logs, control records, reagent opening and inspection, in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards. * Accurately and completely record all mandatory data in the current system. * Request, receive, and properly store materials from the warehouse, ensuring their preservation and availability. * Manage inventory of supplies, controlling batches and expiration dates, and applying the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methodology to ensure quality and traceability of used materials. * Manage daily inventory of blood components, prioritizing use of units with the nearest expiration date and applying the FEFO methodology. * Monitor blood component inventory via the Hemote System, requesting reallocation/transport of units nearing expiration to prioritize transfusion and control discards. * Document performed activities during shifts in reports, ensuring traceability of executed actions. * Perform and document immunohematological testing steps according to established protocols and technical procedures. * Deliver and verify blood components, ensuring compliance with applicable standards. * Properly package and request transport of blood components, maintaining optimal temperature and safety conditions throughout the process Join the Pulsa Group and become part of a team dedicated to excellence in healthcare services.
