Participation in risk analyses and process improvements Description * Responsible for developing, analyzing, and optimizing the oil and gas plant’s industrial chemical processes, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and, above all, process safety. Prevents incidents through technical analyses and application of process safety best practices (Process Safety), promoting operational integrity and sustainable unit performance. * ]**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, with active registration at CREA. * **Experience:** Minimum of 3 to 5 years working as a Process Engineer in industrial plants, preferably in oil and gas. Proven knowledge of process safety (Process Safety Management – PSM). * **Tool Proficiency:** Microsoft Office suite; process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ProII) Risk analysis tools (PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, etc.) Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, flow diagrams, and technical specifications. * Technical rigor and attention to detail * Analytical and solution-oriented profile * Focus on safety and compliance * Strong interpersonal communication skills * Teamwork and proactivity * Ability to make decisions under pressure * Develop and optimize chemical and operational processes within industrial units, aiming for efficiency, loss reduction, and safety. * Conduct risk analyses (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA) and participate in implementing preventive and corrective measures. * Provide technical support to operations and maintenance to ensure adherence to process safety standards. * Draft and review operating and safety procedures. * Participate in incident investigation committees, focusing on root cause analysis related to processes. * Evaluate process unit performance and recommend operational adjustments or improvement projects. * Specify technical requirements for equipment and systems related to process integrity (e.g., safety valves, relief systems). * Conduct technical and operational training related to process safety and best practices. * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (ANP, NR-13, NR-20, NR-33, NR-34, etc.) and corporate SMS requirements. * Participate in the development and revision of P&IDs, PFDs, and engineering technical documentation.
