**Responsibilities and Duties**
A Traffic Operator is responsible for managing vehicle traffic flow on highways, performing traffic supervision, traffic control, road condition monitoring, and support for tow truck operations. In addition, the professional must communicate with the Operational Control Center (OCC) to ensure smooth operations and highway safety.
* Monitor and control vehicle traffic flow on highways, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and maintaining safety;
* Conduct vehicle inspections, verifying documentation, safety conditions, and adherence to traffic regulations;
* Coordinate actions to reduce traffic congestion, identifying critical points and implementing measures to optimize traffic flow;
* Prevent and intervene in risky situations—such as accidents or adverse traffic conditions—to ensure road fluidity and safety;
* Perform tow truck operations, safely and efficiently removing immobilized or accident-involved vehicles in accordance with safety standards and operational procedures;
* Maintain constant communication with the Operational Control Center (OCC), reporting traffic conditions, incidents, and support needs to ensure efficient coordination of rescue and road maintenance activities;
* Monitor road and signage conditions, recording anomalies or maintenance requirements and coordinating actions with responsible teams;
* Support emergency, security, and maintenance teams during highway accidents or emergency situations;
* Prepare reports on traffic conditions, observed incidents, actions taken, and performed tow truck operations;
* Collaborate with other agencies and teams—including highway police, security teams, and other service providers—to ensure smooth operations and driver safety;
* Ensure communication equipment, tow trucks, and signage remain fully operational;
* Perform other related duties at the discretion of the immediate supervisor;
* Assist in animal removal along the inspected highway segment, safeguarding user safety;

* At the start of each shift, inspect vehicle operating conditions—including coolant, oil, tire condition, general vehicle condition, and fuel level—and report any deficiencies to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliant vehicle usage per regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
Minimum: Completed elementary education;
Driver’s License Category D or E;
Desirable experience in traffic enforcement, highway safety, or related fields.

**Way\-306**
The MS\-306 Highway Concessionaire S.A. administers the entire length of MS\-306, from km 0 at the MS/MT border to km 218.1 at its junction with BR\-158 in Cassilândia (MS), and incorporates 1.4 kilometers of BR\-359, from km 0 to the MS/GO border. The highway crosses three municipalities: Costa Rica, Chapadão do Sul, and Cassilândia—all located in the northeastern portion of Mato Grosso do Sul State.
**Way\-112**
The East MS Highways Concessionaire S.A. manages the concession of MS\-112 and segments of BR\-158 and BR\-436, totaling 412.4 kilometers. MS\-112 runs from its junction with BR\-158 in Três Lagoas to its junction with the same federal highway in Cassilândia—a distance of 200.5 kilometers. The BR\-158 concession segment extends from MS\-306 (Cassilândia) to its junction with MS\-444 (Selvíria), totaling 193.8 kilometers. The BR\-436 segment runs from its junction with BR\-158 in Aparecida do Taboado to the end of the road-rail bridge—a length of 18.10 kilometers—crossing six municipalities: Cassilândia, Paranaíba, Aparecida do Taboado, Inocência, Selvíria, and Três Lagoas.
**Way\-262**
The BR 262 MG Highway Concessionaire S.A. manages the BR\-262 concession segment beginning at km 360\+100—its junction with BR\-381 in Betim—extending to km 799—its junction with BR\-050 in Uberaba—for a total length of 438.9 kilometers. This concessioned stretch lies entirely within Minas Gerais State, in the region known as Triângulo Mineiro, crossing twenty municipalities: Betim, Juatuba, Mateus Leme, Florestal, Igaratinga, Pará de Minas, São Gonçalo do Pará, Conceição do Pará, Nova Serrana, Araújos, Bom Despacho, Moema, Luz, Córrego Dantas, Campos Altos, Ibiá, Araxá, Perdizes, Sacramento, and Uberaba.
**Way\-153** – Rota Sertaneja MG\-GO Concessionaire manages 530.60 kilometers of highways between Goiás and Minas Gerais States. The concessioned segment begins on BR\-153 in Hidrolândia (junction with GO\-219\) extending to the GO/MG border; BR\-153/MG **–** from Itumbiara/GO (end of the Parnaíba River bridge) to Fronteira/MG (junction with BR\-262\); BR\-262/MG **–** from Uberaba/MG (junction with BR\-050\) to its junction with BR\-153 (Pouso Alto/MG). It passes through the cities: Hidrolândia, Piracanjuba, Professor Jamil, Morrinhos, Goiatuba, Panamá, Itumbiara, Araporã, Centralina, Canápolis, Monte Alegre de Minas, Prata, Campo Florido, Comendador Gomes, Frutal, Fronteira, Uberaba, Conceição das Alagoas, and Veríssimo.
**Way\-364 \-** BR\-364 MT Highway Concessionaire S.A., a Grupo Way Brasil company, assumed responsibility for 30 years for administration, recovery, conservation, maintenance, implementation of improvements, and expansion of the concessioned highway segments.
The federal concession is a project implemented across Mato Grosso and Goiás States, encompassing the city of Rondonópolis/MT—located in the southeastern region of the state, 210 km from the capital Cuiabá, with 245,000 inhabitants and the state’s second-largest GDP. Rondonópolis lies at the intersection of BR\-163 and BR\-364, major routes transporting agricultural and industrial output to Brazil’s major metropolitan centers and ports.
The concessioned segment crosses nine municipalities: Rio Verde, Jataí, Mineiros, Santa Rita do Araguaia, Portelândia, Alto Araguaia, Alto Garças, Pedra Preta, and Rondonópolis.
