Use prospecting tools to locate and build a list of qualified leads. Initiate contact with leads via email, phone, social media, and other communication channels. Conduct follow-ups with leads to maintain engagement and advance them through the sales funnel. Evaluate and qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with the company’s products and services. Conduct discovery calls to understand insurance brokers’ needs and challenges and assess fit. Schedule meetings or product demonstrations for qualified leads with the sales team. Coordinate and prepare necessary information and materials for these meetings. Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads. Share insights and feedback on what is working well and where improvement opportunities exist. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions in the CRM. Generate reports on prospecting activity progress and achieved results. Implement lead-nurturing strategies to sustain interest and prepare leads for the sales stage. Deliver relevant, personalized content to educate and engage leads over time. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust prospecting approaches and strategies. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance sales skills and deepen knowledge of company products and solutions. Set a target for the number of qualified leads the SDR must generate monthly or quarterly. Define targets for the lead-to-qualified-opportunity conversion rate, measuring the SDR’s effectiveness in identifying and qualifying prospects. Establish a target for the number of meetings or product demonstrations scheduled with qualified leads. Set a target for the lead follow-up rate, ensuring consistent and effective outreach by the SDR. Define targets for average response time to new leads and for follow-ups, ensuring agile and efficient engagement. Assess the quality of lead interactions, which may include feedback from the sales team regarding lead suitability and the SDR’s effectiveness. **Requirements and Qualifications** Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree. Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Proficiency with computer applications (Internet and Excel). Experience in customer relationship management/customer service. Commercial experience. Experience with outbound calls and/or negotiations. Time management skills.
