Job Summary: Stock Clerk position at a supermarket, responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and controlling merchandise, ensuring inventory organization and store replenishment. Supermarket seeking a Stock Clerk in Porto Alegre. **Responsibilities:** Receive merchandise from Distribution Centers and other suppliers to stock the store. Verify documentation against authorized purchase orders, assess merchandise condition (appearance, quality, expiration dates, etc.), approve unloading, and forward documentation for payment scheduling. Store merchandise in appropriate locations to optimize space while ensuring its security and sanitary conditions, or directly prepare it for shelf and gondola replenishment using manual cargo carts. Update available inventory by entering data into manual spreadsheets or electronic control systems. Fulfill store replenishment requests by selecting and preparing the required quantities on pallets for removal and restocking of shelves and gondolas, following rotation criteria. Record inventory withdrawals by entering outgoing data into spreadsheets or the electronic control system. Maintain order and cleanliness of the workplace and equipment, requesting maintenance services when necessary, and comply with operational safety procedures and proper use of PPE. Periodically conduct physical inventory counts to reconcile quantities with accounting balances (spreadsheets or system). Identify and report any discrepancies to supervisors for tracking and corrective action. Occasionally assist in unloading merchandise from trucks to expedite the process. Perform other duties related to the position as directed by supervisors. Previous experience as Inventory Clerk, Loading Clerk, Merchandise Clerk, or Receiving Clerk may indicate suitability for some activities of this role.
