The professional is also responsible for maintaining organization and cleanliness in food storage and handling areas, strictly adhering to hygiene and food safety standards. Additionally, the Kitchen Assistant will assist in meal preparation under the guidance of the chef or head cook. This includes tasks such as cutting and chopping vegetables, marinating meats, measuring ingredients, and carefully plating dishes.
