




Job Summary: Responsible for the operation and monitoring of sewage collection, transportation, and treatment systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Operate sanitation sewage units and systems, ensuring continuity. 2. Monitor operational and environmental parameters, recording incidents. 3. Identify anomalies and support operational recovery during critical incidents. Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and control of sewage collection, transportation, and treatment systems during the day shift in the Ouricuri region. Ensures proper functioning of pumping stations and treatment plants, guaranteeing operational efficiency, process continuity, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Operate sanitation sewage units and systems (networks, pumping stations, Wastewater Treatment Plants [WTPs], and associated units), ensuring continuity and operational compliance. * Perform routine operational procedures for equipment start-up/shutdown, switching operations, inspections, and process adjustments according to established procedures. * Monitor operational and environmental parameters (e.g., flow rates, water levels, BOD/COD where applicable, solids, odors), recording measurements and incidents. * Support and monitor cleaning, unclogging, overflow control, and pumping station operations, where applicable. * Support sludge and process residue management, following quality and environmental guidelines. * Support sampling activities and interface with laboratory/quality teams, ensuring adherence to the sampling plan and recordkeeping. * Identify anomalies, notify maintenance/automation teams, and support operational recovery during critical incidents. * Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and confined space work procedures, where applicable. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; technical training in Sanitation, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is desirable. * Experience operating WTPs, pumping stations, sewage networks, or related activities; experience in sanitation/utilities is preferred. * Basic knowledge of sewage treatment processes, pump, blower, and valve operations, and field routines. * Ability to respond effectively to incidents and contingencies (e.g., overflows, equipment failures, blockages). * Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and discipline in maintaining operational records. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or operational recordkeeping systems. * Availability to work on a rotating/day shift schedule and on-call duties, where applicable. * Valid Brazilian driver’s license (Category B); willingness to travel between operational units. * Willingness to work onsite in Ouricuri/PE. **Additional Information** **BENEFITS:** Medical assistance; Dental assistance; Life insurance; Transportation allowance; Meal voucher and/or food allowance; Profit-sharing program (PLR); **VITA Sertão** is the sanitation concessionaire established to drive development in the Pernambuco Sertão region.
