It is recognized as a State and Municipal Public Utility Entity and is affiliated with the Brazilian Association of Philanthropic Institutions for Cancer Control (Abificc). Founded in 1956 by Dr. Alberto Augusto de Araújo Jorge, with support from the Goiânia Rotary Club, ACCG operates three units: the Araújo Jorge Cancer Hospital, the Anápolis Oncology Unit, and the Institute of Education and Research. As the region's sole High-Complexity Oncology Assistance Center (CACON), ACCG serves patients from Goiás and other states, performing over one million procedures annually, including consultations, hospitalizations, surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy.
