CNC Machine Operator

Description

Job Summary: This professional will prepare and operate CNC cutting machines, ensuring quality and optimizing production through equipment adjustments and maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Operate and adjust CNC cutting machines to optimize production. 2. Monitor cutting processes to prevent deviations and material loss. 3. Contribute to machinery maintenance and safety. Prepare and operate CNC cutting machines according to predefined programming, performing parameter adjustments and corrections as needed to ensure quality and improve production cycle times. * Inspect machines (adjustment, calibration, cleaning) per the Work Order before starting a production shift, making necessary machine adjustments and controls; * Verify that materials allocated for cutting match those specified in the Work Order; * Operate the machine per the established operating procedure, taking care of and cleaning it to maintain original machine condition. * Monitor the cutting process closely to prevent possible deviations that could result in material loss or machine damage. * Adjust cutting parameters, speed, and gas pressure during operation to maintain established quality standards. * Install and inspect consumables used in cutting (lenses and nozzles) before and during operation. * Perform measurements (using calipers, tape measures, etc.) on parts to verify compliance with engineering drawings. * Support maintenance activities by proactively identifying and reporting problems and deviations caused by machine or equipment failures, and providing operational information to maintenance personnel. * Assist in area performance indicator tracking by completing spreadsheets and performance reports, and exchanging information with the area manager. * Immediately inform the direct supervisor upon observing any machine irregularities to ensure timely maintenance, thereby preserving work equipment. * Support immediate management on matters related to the operator's area of responsibility as needed, presenting and discussing issues and irregularities to help define required procedures and actions. * Comply with safety regulations and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by internal policies. * Guide new employees on area-specific tasks whenever necessary, accompanying them and facilitating their understanding of equipment. * Attend training sessions when scheduled, dedicating full attention to achieve desired work performance.
