Join Nexa and be part of a mining company that moves with the world! **Responsibilities and attributions** * Manage inspections and maintenance of pressure equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. * Supervise compressor and compressed air system contracts, ensuring efficiency and performance. * Monitor and optimize boiler efficiency and utility systems (compressed air, steam, water, refrigeration, and industrial gases). * Ensure reliability and availability of electrical systems (medium and low voltage, substations, transformers, motor control centers, and panels). * Ensure adherence to corporate maintenance processes and guidelines. * Analyze KPIs, conduct RCAs and functional failure analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions. * Provide technical support to the team in solving electrical and utility issues. * Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards (NR10, NR13, ISO 50001, ISO 14001). * Contribute to budget planning and maintenance cost control for electrical systems and utilities. * Maintain updated systematic plans and technical lists, ensuring standardization and traceability of electrical and utility systems. * Assess functional and material criticality (ABC/XYZ), defining failure modes and technical criteria. * Analyze cost vs. risk and support spare parts purchasing decisions. * Specify equipment, develop and monitor OPEX/improvement projects. * Act as a technical reference for maintenance supervisors, inspectors, and planners. * Participate in commissioning and technical handover of new projects/assets (Sustaining or Engineering). * Develop and review technical specifications and scopes for service procurement, as well as provide technical clarifications during purchasing processes. * Develop new strategic suppliers and materials, ensuring quality and competitiveness. * Maintain the preventive maintenance program for electrical and utility systems, ensuring full traceability and complete technical history. * Monitor internal and external repairs of critical assets and compliance with technical warranties. * Provide technical support in the preparation and analysis of investments (CAPEX) related to sustaining and new equipment (60-month plan). * Propose annual maintenance targets and monitor their execution. * Promote the dissemination of best practices and lessons learned across technical areas. * Foster a culture of safety, reliability, and operational sustainability. **Requirements and qualifications** **Required qualifications** * Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields. * Professional with solid experience in electrical maintenance and industrial utilities, preferably in mining, metallurgy, and/or steel plants. * Proficiency in ERP SAP PM, Power BI, MS Office, Minitab, and maintenance management tools. * Knowledge of standards and legal requirements such as NRs (NR10, NR13, etc.), ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, 55001, and NBR 5410, 5419, 14039. * Knowledge of risk management and analysis tools. * Previous experience as a maintenance engineer, focusing on failure analysis, maintenance processes, optimization of plans, energy efficiency, and asset management. **Desirable qualifications** * Postgraduate degree in Maintenance Engineering or Reliability will be considered an advantage. * Knowledge of methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, FMECA, RCA, FTA, 5W2H, statistical analyses, and predictive techniques. * Experience in continuous improvement and reliability projects. **Key Competencies** * Systemic and analytical mindset. * Focus on results and reduction of variability. * Ownership attitude and investigative approach. * Ability to coordinate between technical areas, procurement, processes, and projects. * Technical leadership and influence without authority. * Commitment to safety, quality, and operational sustainability. **Additional information** ***Nexa believes in promoting a plural environment where everyone feels comfortable and welcome to be themselves.*** We are one of the world’s largest zinc producers!
