




The Laboratory Technician at FACIT is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and organized operation of the human, animal, and cellular anatomy laboratories, providing technical support for FACIT’s academic activities, practical classes, and research, thereby contributing to teaching quality, compliance with biosafety regulations, and the ethical and scientific training of students. **Main Activities and Responsibilities** * Prepare, organize, and maintain the human, animal, and cellular anatomy laboratories for practical classes, research, and academic activities. * Perform preparation, preservation, identification, and proper disposal of biological materials (anatomical specimens, microscope slides, cellular samples, etc.) in accordance with technical standards and biosafety regulations. * Support faculty and students during practical classes by guiding them on the correct use of equipment, materials, and laboratory techniques. * Operate, clean, calibrate, and ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment. * Monitor inventory of reagents, materials, supplies, and equipment, requesting replenishment as needed. * Comply with and enforce biosafety, ethics, occupational health and safety regulations, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Properly dispose of chemical and biological waste in compliance with current legislation. * Maintain up-to-date records, reports, and inventories for the laboratories. * Assist in organizing practical classes, extension projects, research, and institutional activities involving the laboratories. * Safeguard the institution’s physical assets and materials.
