Presidente Kennedy, No. 1160, Morada do Sol neighborhood, ZIP Code 64\.056\-375, Teresina (PI), a nonprofit social organization with private legal personality, recognized as a public utility and socially relevant entity by State Decree No. 12\.286/06 and Municipal Decree No. 14\.526/14\. **CLAUSE ONE – OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT** **1\.1** Reabilitar Association, through this Notice, publicly announces the opening of the Simplified Selection Process aimed at hiring a professional for the position of **Nursing Technician (Maternity)** to work on the project of the new Dona Evangelina Rosa Maternity Hospital (NMDER) in Teresina – PI. **CLAUSE TWO – MAIN DUTIES OF THE POSITION** * Provide comprehensive care to patients and newborns according to medical and nursing prescriptions; * Carry out activities in accordance with the daily activity schedule established by the on-duty nurses; * Admit patients and accompany them to the bed previously assigned by NIR, checking vital signs and recording them in the MV system; * Assist patients with hygiene and comfort needs; * Monitor vital signs according to routine and record them in the electronic medical record (oxygen saturation, pulse or heart rate, respiration, temperature, blood pressure, and pain scale application), reporting any abnormalities to the nurse; * Perform technical skills and procedures compatible with the position; * Participate in intersectoral patient transfers according to institutional routine; * Administer medications according to medical prescriptions and scheduled timing; * Ensure appropriate disposal of sharps and biological waste (placenta), storing them properly in designated locations according to the Health Solid Waste (RSS) protocol; * Perform concurrent cleaning in the patient unit; * Collect umbilical cord blood for the laboratory and transfusion agency according to institutional protocol; * Request from pharmacy the normal delivery kit and newborn reception kit upon admission of all laboring women; * Assist in newborn reception and provide immediate and intermediate assistance; * Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers and any emergencies; * Collect specimens for testing and forward them to the laboratory; * Prepare materials for medical and nursing procedures; * Guide and encourage women regarding newborn care and breastfeeding; * Record provided care, date, sign, and stamp entries in the Electronic Patient Record (PEP); * Conduct in-person shift handover and verify supplies, e.g., basins, thermometers, glucometers, sonars, sterilized materials (delivery trays and catheterization trays, latex, humidifiers, gauzes, and examination gloves), syringes, needles, ultrasound gel, sheets, gowns, among others; * Record all procedures performed and make nursing notes each shift and whenever necessary. * Comply with institutional regulations, protocols, standards, routines, and/or issued documents; * Comply with recommendations and protocols from the Hospital Infection Control Commission (CCIH) and Patient Safety Unit (NSP); * Record complete patient data in sector-specific institutional documents; **CLAUSE THREE – REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION** * Completed Technical Nursing course; * Minimum six months’ experience in maternity care; * Active registration with the Professional Council.
