As a **Ramp Assistant**, you will perform ramp operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) on aircraft safely, with quality and punctuality, ensuring process efficiency and contributing to customers' perception of the company's services regarding baggage and cargo transportation, as well as flight punctuality. Assist with aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when necessary. **This position is exclusively for the Teresina Airport (THE)!** --------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Monitor aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Customer Manual or dnata's MGO; * Sort baggage and cargo volumes into airport sorting areas by reading identification labels (with or without technological assistance), to ensure proper loading onto storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for correct flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following standards and procedures outlined in the MGO, including special handling recommendations (fragile, dangerous, live animals, perishable items); * Unload baggage and cargo by reading volume identification labels and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Segregate baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate inter-flight connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and supervise baggage and cargo packaging to verify suitability for transport, ensuring flight safety and the safety of personnel handling such items; * Correctly handle and properly stow baggage and cargo within aircraft holds, observing internal retention and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Perform equipment marshalling during coupling procedures with aircraft to prevent fuselage collisions; * Service aircraft within established timeframes for each service type and airport classification; * Conduct pre-use inspections on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety, and report equipment requiring repairs to the GSE Technical Maintenance team; * Report any equipment anomalies occurring during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability in assessing situations; * Stress resistance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal standing posture for performing tasks, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area. Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from conveyor belts to transport equipment, chocking, and aircraft loading/unloading with bags and cargo; visual signaling around the flight being serviced; floor inspection and scanning to retrieve dropped objects; and auditory perception for identifying audible signals from equipment and machinery on the tarmac.
