JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for operating the cash register and serving customers, following established protocols, rules, regulations, and standards; scanning merchandise, collecting payments, performing cash withdrawals, closing the register, and providing accountability for daily transactions at the end of the shift.
ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED
Ensure excellence in customer service at the cash register, adhering to protocols, rules, regulations, and established standards; scanning/weighing products, consulting code tables, checking product labels, verifying scale weight and system correspondence, processing payments, and, in case of checks, confirming prior authorization and making proper notations on the back; when accepting cash, verifying authenticity;
Ensure cash withdrawals during the shift and proper register closing, including counting cash, reconciling totals, signing documentation, and delivering it to the Supervisor and/or depositing into a safe or 24-hour cash box to prevent excessive exposed cash accumulation and ensure accountability;
Contribute to achieving current campaign targets by promoting available products and services, identifying missing items, and reporting them to the Supervisor for appropriate action;
Contribute to reducing checkout loss rates by proactively minimizing bag waste, preventing theft, promptly returning perishables, etc.
Maintain the workplace and equipment in optimal working and clean condition; request bags, receipt rolls, and other supplies as needed;
Assist with sorting merchandise for home delivery when required, ensuring optimal packaging;
Assist with related tasks as needed, such as shelf stocking, checkout stand restocking, product pricing and expiry date verification, gift wrapping, etc.
Requirements
**Academic qualification:** Completed elementary education

**Working hours:** 2:00 PM \- 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM \- 10:20 PM
