Cakto, a digital payments platform, is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to strengthen our technology team and help evolve our payment architecture with secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. ? Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend systems in Python/Django, ensuring quality, performance, and security. Design and evolve REST APIs for internal and external integrations. Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to build efficient and robust solutions. Participate in code reviews, definition of technical standards, and architectural discussions. Implement automated testing practices and continuous monitoring of services. Support the evolution of the payment architecture, focusing on high availability and scalability. ✅ Required Qualifications 3+ years of backend development experience. Strong proficiency in Python and Django. Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and Redis. Ability to optimize SQL queries and handle large volumes of data. Experience integrating REST APIs. Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of security best practices, especially in financial systems. Experience in high-availability environments. ? Nice-to-Have Prior experience with digital payment platforms, gateways, or fintechs. Experience with Celery or Redis RQ for messaging and asynchronous processing. ?
