About the role: Alcoa is seeking a Mine Operations professional to join our team at the Juruti/PA site. As a Senior Mine Operations Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing vegetation suppression, drainage, and plant rehabilitation systems at the Juruti plant, ensuring compliance with legal and environmental requirements. You will also lead operational teams, promoting development, engagement, and a high\-performance culture, while ensuring alignment between teams and strategic operational goals. The main responsibilities of the role include:* Managing operational resources and monitoring performance indicators on a daily basis; * Developing, together with the Planning Manager, short\- and long\-term mining plans, ensuring adherence to production, quality, and cost targets; * Identifying opportunities in stripping and mining processes, leading task forces to capture improvements and promoting practices aligned with the Alcoa Business System (ABS); * Managing interfaces and contracts with service providers, ensuring technical, legal, and financial compliance; * Identifying and mitigating operational and environmental risks, promoting a safety culture and preventive actions; * Ensuring compliance with EHS (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements and corporate guidelines. What you can offer for the role:* Bachelor’s degree completed in Geology and/or Engineering: Mining, Civil, Geological, or related fields; * Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Business Management, People Management, and/or Business Administration; * Solid experience in mine operations and planning; * Experience in contract management and cost management; * Advanced English and knowledge of Lean Management; * Availability to reside in Juruti\-PA (remote area); * Work mode: on\-site.
