About the role: Alcoa is seeking a Mining Engineering professional to join the Juruti/PA site and work specifically within the Mine Planning team. As a Mid\-Level Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, optimizing, and monitoring mining operations, ensuring efficient, safe ore production aligned with established targets. You will also focus on continuous process improvement, guaranteeing achievement of production goals, cost control, and safety standards. The main responsibilities include:* Develop monthly, weekly, and daily mine plans, considering geology, topography, and ore characteristics; * Sizing of production fleet and mine infrastructure; * Participate in production and management meetings, contributing analyses and suggestions; * Evaluate results from the processing plant, geology, and quality control, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions; * Optimize mining sequence and waste removal to maximize production and minimize costs. What you can offer for the role:* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (active CREA registration), with preference for postgraduate studies in Mine Planning; * Experience in the role, preferably using strip mining methods; * Proficiency in mining software (preferably HxGN MinePlan) and knowledge of tools such as Studio Op, Deswik, Micromine, AutoCAD, and Vulcan; * Knowledge of Office Suite and Power BI for data analysis and management; * Experience in short\-term mine planning (daily, weekly, monthly) will be considered a differentiator; * Advanced English proficiency is desirable; * Willingness to reside in Juruti/PA (remote location); * Work mode: onsite.
