About the Position Location: Santarém, Pará – Brazil The Senior Geological Modeling Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new mining areas, managing replacement reserves, and supervising geological modeling activities. It is required to be recognized as a 'Qualified or Competent Person' under code 43-101 or JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Committee). The manager will work closely with ANM (Agência Nacional de Mineração) and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective management of mining rights. Additional responsibilities include:* Identify and develop new mining areas, ensuring sustainable and efficient extraction of resources. * Manage replacement reserves to maintain and expand resource availability. * Supervise geological modeling activities, ensuring accurate and reliable resource estimates. * Collaborate closely with ANM to ensure compliance with regulations and effective management of mining rights. * Provide technical guidance and support in geostatistical analyses and geological modeling. * Ensure integration of best practices in geological modeling and resource management. * Monitor and report on the progress of geological modeling projects and mining rights management. What You Can Offer* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field; specialization in Geostatistics is preferred. * Experience in due diligence and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions – essential). * Familiarity with ANM processes. * Recognition as a 'Competent Person' under National Instrument 43-101 (Joint Ore Reserves Committee). * Strong knowledge of geological modeling techniques, resource estimation, and mining rights management. * Proficiency in relevant software and tools for geological modeling and resource management. * Fluency in Portuguese and English.
