Job Responsibilities * Role Mission Responsible for overseeing occupational safety activities, contributing to the implementation of standards and procedures aimed at accident prevention and compliance with applicable legislation. Responsibilities * Inspect facilities, installations, and equipment across the unit; analyze adopted methods and conditions; identify accident-risk activities; and propose modifications, adaptations, and appropriate safety equipment. * Contribute to the development of safety standards and procurement of safety devices, suggesting modifications to equipment and installations. * Participate in and monitor workplace environmental measurements, proposing changes when necessary. * Document deviations identified across units, notifying and advising involved personnel regarding unsafe conditions and acts, indicating required procedures and precautions necessary to preserve health and physical integrity. * Organize safety and health campaigns; deliver training sessions and lectures related to occupational safety and hygiene, aiming to raise awareness and educate employees. * Conduct studies, research, and tests of new safety equipment, evaluating performance and issuing reports to support necessary modifications. * Participate in sizing and procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Collective Protective Equipment (CPE), and uniforms; maintain adequate stock levels for supply and replenishment; record employee deliveries; and manage replacement schedules. * Assist in environmental assessments by sharing relevant information and presenting existing reports. * Support the development of accident prevention habits by producing and distributing occupational safety publications. * Ensure adherence to organizational policies and departmental procedures by following established practices and processes. * Ensure compliance with current legislation and adherence to organizational policies and standards relating to health, occupational safety, and the environment through the execution of assigned duties. * Participate in internal and external audits related to safety and the environment. Requirements Education Technical qualification in Occupational Safety (mandatory) Active Professional Registration (RP) with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE).
