Job Summary:
Responsible for the safe and efficient dispensing and return of hospital supplies, diets, and medications, ensuring organization and inventory control.

Ensure accurate dispensing and return of hospital supplies, diets, and medications to patients and departments in a safe and efficient manner, enabling appropriate patient care and treatment. Additionally, prioritize organization to guarantee efficient inventory control across all stages of the logistics chain.
* Receive products in the Warehouse by verifying incoming manifests and documenting any necessary adjustments or corrections prior to storage and use;
* Fractionate and label products as required, following institutional standards and current legislation regarding expiration date control;
* Verify transfer manifests against physical items, identifying and resolving potential discrepancies with leadership;
* Maintain proper storage and organization of products stocked in Pharmacy departments, adhering to the FIFO (First Expired, First Out) principle;
* Support the product expiration date control process, as directed by leadership;
* Monitor and record environmental humidity and refrigerator temperatures daily;
* Fulfill requests for dispensing and returning products to departments and patients;
* Verify, assemble, prepare, dispense, and return kits;
* Fulfill requests for stock quotas, sub-stocks, and emergency carts;
* Dispense products via system entries for internal customers at department service windows;
* Serve internal customers both via telephone and in person at department service windows;
* Report non-standard consumption requests to the Pharmacy Assistant and/or Pharmacist for evaluation and possible action;
* Assist the Pharmacist in controlling and dispensing non-standardized and high-cost products;
* Safeguard stored products and prevent losses and waste;
* Request product replenishment from the CAF and/or Warehouse according to department-established routines;
* Provide leadership with information regarding increased consumption, low stock turnover, stockouts, and short product shelf life;
* Perform rotating and spot inventory counts as needed;
* Participate in semiannual inventories, carrying out activities per the schedule published by leadership;
* Forward invoices and loan documents to the Warehouse;
* Separate products to fulfill Home Care requests;
* Support the process of stock location addressing, identification, and organization;
* Complete departmental control documents, such as incident logs, fractionation logs, loss forms, etc.;
* Count psychotropic medications twice per shift, or whenever necessary, per the department’s staffing schedule;
Maintain cleanliness and organization of departments as instructed and per the schedule published by leadership.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma (Secondary Education)
