Job Summary: The Mechanical Technical Assistant will support operational demands of the mechanical department, including disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of components, inspections, and organization. Assist in disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of mechanical components. Support inspections of machinery and various mechanical systems. Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance activities. Clean parts, engines, workbenches, and the workplace before and after activities. Maintain workplace organization, ensuring proper storage of tools and equipment. Assist in loading, moving, and positioning materials and components. Perform simple maintenance records when requested (checklists, photos, supporting notes). Strictly comply with safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and safe practices. Accompany the responsible mechanic during onboard vessel or workshop activities.
