Job Description \-As a Full Drilling and Blasting Engineer, you will be responsible for developing drilling and blasting plans, including reconciling them with technical assumptions, with a focus on safety and operational performance. **Key responsibilities include:** * Develop drilling plans and blast designs * Reconcile planned vs. executed blast designs (plan closure) * Schedule and lead the drilling and blasting reconciliation meeting * Develop geofences for autonomous drill rigs * Monitor technical indicators and propose adjustments * Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives * Act as the focal point for the TS025 T&S team * Collaborate with the blasting technician, ADM drilling technician and mine planning team to define the weekly detonation plan * Support the development of the drilling and blasting budget and specifications for explosives and accessories to be used by Anglo American * Supervise the contracted company responsible for the blast card application * Provide technical guidance and supervision to the contracted company for blast hole preparation * Interface with the blasting technician to develop blast designs and identify potential blasting interferences with the production process (e.g., access blockage due to rock throw, backbreaks on access roads) * Monitor blast locations and, if necessary and feasible, reschedule weekly blasts to maintain haul fleet performance; **Qualifications \-The profile we are seeking for this position:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering * Professional registration with CREA * Knowledge of blast design development * Technical/advanced English desirable **Additional Information \-Why join our team?** We are a company committed to turning our beliefs and values into reality.
