The **Mid-Level DevOps Engineer** role will primarily focus on operating, maintaining, and evolving critical multi-region cloud infrastructure.
This role requires ensuring stability, scalability, automation, and high availability of production environments, demanding strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), production-grade Kubernetes cluster administration, and CI/CD pipeline management based on GitOps practices.
This is a strategic position for the company’s system continuity and reliability, involving direct work across development, staging (UAT), and production environments to guarantee integrity and performance of technological operations.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
Primary Tech Stack:
* IaC: Terraform (workspaces, modules, remote state in S3) + Ansible (60+ playbooks)
* Cloud: AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, EBS, ALB) — multi-region (us-east-2, sa-east-1)
* Orchestration: Kubernetes (kubeadm, Calico CNI, Kustomize, Helm)
* CI/CD: Jenkins + ArgoCD (GitOps, app-of-apps pattern) + Harbor (private registry)
* Databases: PostgreSQL HA (Bitnami/StackGres/Citus), MongoDB Sharded, Redis Cluster, RabbitMQ, Kafka
* Observability: SigNoz + ClickHouse, Prometheus + Grafana, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry
* DNS/SSL: Cloudflare + cert-manager (Let's Encrypt)
* Networking: NGINX Ingress, AWS Load Balancer Controller, MetalLB
Responsibilities:
* Provision and maintain AWS infrastructure via Terraform
* Create and maintain Ansible playbooks for service installation/upgrades
* Operate production Kubernetes clusters (upgrades, scaling, troubleshooting)
* Maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
* Monitor and respond to infrastructure and application alerts
* Manage SSL certificate lifecycle and credential rotation
* Enhance observability and alerting stack
**Requirements and Qualifications**
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Systems / Software Engineering;
Mandatory Requirements:
* 2+ years of hands-on Terraform experience in production environments;
* 2+ years of hands-on Ansible experience (playbooks, roles, dynamic inventories);
* Solid production experience with Kubernetes (not limited to local/minikube);
* Experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS);
* Familiarity with Helm charts and GitOps (Argo CD or similar);
* Experience with at least one relational database in HA configuration, preferably PostgreSQL;
* Linux proficiency (troubleshooting, networking, systemd);
* Availability to participate in on-call rotations;
Desirable Technical Requirements:
* Experience with StackGres/Citus (distributed PostgreSQL)
* Experience with SigNoz or OpenTelemetry
* Knowledge of MongoDB Sharded / Kafka
* Experience with multi-cloud (AWS + OCI)

Employment Type:
CLT employment contract
Work Model: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week onsite at our office — Av. Pedroso de Morais 631 — Pinheiros, São Paulo — SP;
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00;
