Job Summary: A professional responsible for ensuring ESHQS compliance, supervising production operations, managing teams and processes, and promoting continuous improvement. Key Highlights: 1. Focuses on cost optimization and continuous process improvement **Key Responsibilities** * ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL ESHQS PROCEDURES AND POLICIES. * Authorize non-routine activities, ensuring safety during such activities and continuously monitoring them. * Participate in meetings/investigations to address deviations in ESHQS, Production, and Process areas. * Critically analyze production area performance, monitoring and ensuring its performance, availability, and reliability. * Ensure sufficient raw materials are available for operations, coordinating with the raw materials team; * Participate in meetings discussing work progress and adherence to the established schedule, to develop action plans for correcting possible deviations or adjustments to the initial plan due to newly emerging demands. * Participate in the development and updating of quality system documents relevant to the area of responsibility. * Arrange and oversee training for subordinates to ensure their continued competence for area operations, while maintaining evidence of completed training. * Monitor the progress of production orders and participate in periodic meetings for order control and manufacturing priority setting, to ensure fulfillment of requirements and on-time delivery of products. * Ensure adherence to process parameters. * Be responsible for authorizing and/or acknowledging high-risk work areas. * Supervise employees’ use of PPE. * Responsible for organization and cleanliness of factory areas. * Perform work in accordance with approved internal policies, procedures, and work instructions, respecting and applying factory management system requirements as well as company health, safety, environment, quality, and sustainability (ESHQS) standards. * Responsibility and autonomy to report EHSQS-related issues to the direct manager and the Quality Department. * Actively contribute to continuous improvement. * Raise maintenance work orders to address deviations and monitor corrective and preventive maintenance activities throughout the shift. * Manage the operations team: attendance, performance, staffing replacement, vacation control, and overtime. * Monitor and track industrial consumables usage in the powder plant sector (packaging, pallets, etc.) and ensure SAP procedures (routines) are followed. * Monitor and track raw material consumption, industrial inputs (ethanol, nitrogen, potassium hydroxide, etc.), utilities (steam, electricity, well water, final effluent), and by-products (D-Limonene and Molasses) to align production and consumption with budgeted targets. Develop action plans for potential corrections to meet AOP objectives. * Adjust workforce levels according to operational needs and maintain required headcount (AOP). * Manage plant production costs (monitor consumption and address variances). * Implement changes to processes, machines, instruments, or bypass procedures only after completing the pre-MOC form and obtaining appropriate authorizations. **Tate & Lyle is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the strength of an inclusive workforce.**
