We're addressing the global challenges of ending plastic waste, taking climate action, and supporting a thriving society, while generating value for our customers, investors, and society. **Basic Function** ------------------ Coordinate and lead the planning and execution of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and instrumentation maintenance services, following departmental procedures, plans, and programs, applying Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Conservation practices to achieve LYB’s goals and pursue continuous improvement in activities and processes at the Manaus industrial site. \#LI\-SC1 **Roles \& Responsibilities** ----------------------------- * Ensure rapid response to process area needs through initiative and proactive information gathering, executing and/or leading internal teams or contracted services—either under normal operations or during industrial unit shutdowns—to achieve company objectives; * Ensure compliance with procedures and practices within the Integrated Management System environment—including Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Conservation (ISO 9\.001, ISO 14\.001, ISO 45\.001, ISO IATF, and others)—through prior task planning and risk analysis (Task Risk Analysis); * Ensure intervention quality by reviewing maintenance procedures and equipment manufacturer manuals in advance, leveraging experience, historical records, and project documentation, and engaging specialized services when necessary; * Contribute to increased equipment availability by controlling and analyzing work orders and implementing predictive and preventive maintenance interventions, proposing equipment or process improvements, refining maintenance techniques, and analyzing results from preventive interventions; * Support maintaining Manaus unit certifications by complying with preventive maintenance plans and scheduled maintenance activities, ensuring proper allocation and technical reporting; * Support continuous improvement at the unit by controlling, analyzing, and executing engineering changes, ensuring as\-built documentation aligns with actual construction, developing or revising maintenance and/or calibration procedures for newly added or replaced equipment, and incorporating such equipment into maintenance plans; * Support the materials and spare parts procurement function by preparing REMs (Material Stock Recommendations), identifying alternative materials to promote localization of imported items, issuing electronic material requisitions, submitting purchase requests, and recovering/returning repairable inventory items; * Identify opportunities to enhance the technical team’s capabilities by organizing internal or external training to continuously improve service delivery; * Coordinate and administer investments in machinery improvements and unit projects in Manaus; * Supervise and train team members, motivating and encouraging them to achieve personal/professional performance goals and improve personal satisfaction, aiming for stronger integration and alignment of actions with the company’s reality; * Lead process and facility adaptation projects and manage changes through MOC—Management of Change; * Collaborate with the Site Manager and other leaders on occupational health, safety, environmental, and operational excellence matters; * Monitor Maintenance KPIs and ensure alignment with LYB’s defined targets; * Manage the annual Maintenance Budget aligned with Site requirements per LYB\-approved processes. **Min. Qualifications** ----------------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields. * Experience in management roles within Maintenance. **Preferred Qualifications** ---------------------------- * Proficiency in computer applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). * Knowledge of safety standards (NRs), especially NR\-10 and NR\-12, and applicable NBRs for Maintenance. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings. * Project management skills. * Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) (Datasul preferred). * Analytical mindset to assess and monitor key performance indicators, team performance, projects, inspection reports, and machine, equipment, and facility operation. * Intermediate/advanced English proficiency preferred. * Intermediate Spanish proficiency preferred.
