Job Summary: This professional will execute construction works and renovations, working with masonry, concrete, and other materials to build structures; read project drawings; prepare the site; and perform finishing tasks, ensuring safety and quality throughout the construction process. Key Highlights: 1. Execution of construction works and renovations using various building materials. 2. Reading of project drawings, site preparation, and installation of finishes. 3. Completion of finishing work and quality control of the construction project. Performs construction works and renovations using masonry, concrete, and other materials to build structures such as walls, slabs, and foundations. Responsibilities include reading project drawings, preparing the site, laying floors and finishes, applying plaster and other finishing treatments, and ensuring safety and quality on-site. Main duties of a mason: * **Analysis and planning:** Interprets project drawings and blueprints to understand technical specifications, calculates material quantities, and plans project execution. * **Site preparation:** Clears, levels, and marks out the site, and erects temporary support structures. * **Structural construction:** Builds walls, fences, beams, and columns using bricks, blocks, stones, and other materials. * **Concrete work:** Prepares and applies mortar and concrete to structural elements. * **Installation of finishes:** Installs flooring, tiles, porcelain stoneware, and other finish materials. * **Finishing work:** Applies plaster, skim coat, and installs doors and windows. * **Renovations and repairs:** Performs maintenance and restoration of existing structures. * **Quality control:** Uses tools such as plumb bobs, spirit levels, and rulers to verify work quality and structural safety.
