Job Summary: Warehouse Assistant responsible for monitoring, organizing, and picking goods, ensuring inventory control and integrity through the use of equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Use of equipment such as pallet jacks for cargo handling Supermarket seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Manaus. **Responsibilities:** Monitor truck arrivals, unload goods, and verify that quantities and items match the invoice. Organize products in designated warehouse locations (slotting) to facilitate retrieval by restockers. Assess packaging integrity and monitor expiration dates, applying the FIFO system (first-in, first-out). Participate in regular inventories and stock counts to ensure physical inventory aligns with system records. Pick and make available products requested by various store departments (butchery, bakery, produce). Operate material handling equipment, such as manual pallet jacks (commonly called “pallet trucks”), to transport heavy cartons and pallets. Previous experience as Warehouse Assistant, Logistics Assistant, Warehouse Operator, or Warehouse Coordinator may indicate suitability for some of the duties in this position. High school diploma required.
