#### **About the vacancy:** We are looking for a Data Engineering and Development Specialist to serve as the primary technical reference for engineering, playing a strategic role in defining the technological vision, evolving architecture, and scaling development teams. This position is responsible for ensuring that technology supports business growth in a secure, efficient, and sustainable manner, while also leading high-impact technical decisions and fostering continuous innovation. #### **Key responsibilities:** Technical and Strategic Engagement * Define the company’s technical vision, strategy, and roadmap. * Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and resilient architectures. * Establish and uphold engineering best practices, including code quality, automated testing, documentation, and automation. * Make strategic technical decisions, evaluating risks, impacts, and trade-offs. Execution and Deliverables * Ensure high-quality deliveries within realistic deadlines. * Collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Operations teams to prioritize requests, align expectations, and resolve blockers. * Support the technical growth and maturity of engineering teams. Innovation and Technological Evolution * Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies aligned with business strategy. * Promote a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and technical excellence. * Anticipate technological trends and support long-term strategic planning. #### **Mandatory requirements:** * Solid experience as a technical leader, software architect, or engineering manager. * Strong expertise in distributed architectures, microservices, APIs, cloud computing, and engineering best practices. * Experience with API Gateway, Integration Server, ESB, orchestrations, and transformations. * Advanced knowledge of security, scalability, performance, and observability. * Experience with complex integrations, including in regulated environments. * Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS. * Experience with Python for automation and internal tools. * Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. * Solid AWS experience (architecture, security, networking, and resilience). * Knowledge of relational and NoSQL data modeling. * Practice with TDD/BDD and automated testing. * Systemic mindset, data-driven decision-making, and strong sense of technical accountability. * Ability to work in a hybrid model in Porto Alegre. #### **Desirable (differentiating) requirements:** * Experience in the financial sector or in critical technology environments. * Cloud, architecture, or other technical certifications. * Experience in digital transformation projects or legacy system modernization. * Experience with WebMethods (IBM): API Gateway, Integration Server, ESB, orchestrations, and transformations. * Knowledge of PHP. * Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS). * Advanced observability knowledge (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, Prometheus, Grafana). * Experience in architectural modernization processes (monolith to microservices). * Having founded or worked as an early employee/developer in startups.
