Strictly follow hygiene and food safety regulations **Position: Semi-Skilled Kitchen Worker** **Department:** Kitchen **Reports to:** Chef or Owner **Employment Type:** CLT / Employment Contract **Position Objective** Assist chefs in food preparation, ensuring dishes are produced with quality, efficiency, and in compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in **food pre-preparation** (e.g., vegetable cutting, seasoning, portioning). * Support **food preparation and plating**, following restaurant standards. * Maintain a **clean and organized kitchen**, including utensils, countertops, and equipment. * Monitor **basic ingredient inventory**, notifying the chef when replenishment is needed. * Strictly adhere to **food hygiene, handling, and storage regulations**. * Collaborate with the team to ensure an **efficient workflow**. * Perform additional tasks as directed by the chef or head cook. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Prior experience in a professional kitchen. * Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques. * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team. * Completed elementary education; gastronomy courses or technical training are advantageous. **Behavioral Competencies** * Organization and attention to detail. * Proactivity and willingness to learn. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Flexibility to perform various kitchen tasks.
