You will act as the company’s representative vis-à-vis labor unions, leading negotiations, monitoring collective bargaining agreements, and ensuring compliance with labor legislation; and serve as HR’s frontline interface with employees, guaranteeing the application of HR processes to address identified needs, partnering with managers across the business, and leveraging Metso’s available HR tools to ensure timely resolution of requests and adherence to internal company policies. You will play a critical role in our business success. In this position, you will report to the HR Manager. This position is primarily based in Sorocaba and involves domestic travel to locations where the company operates. The team you’ll join You will join a team of HR generalists dedicated to serving as HR’s frontline interface with employees, ensuring the application of HR processes to resolve identified needs and acting as a business partner to managers. We work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR specialist functions. What you’ll do Serve internal clients, consistently providing guidance and responding to departmental inquiries regarding labor union relations, as well as internal policies and legal regulations. Act as the company’s representative vis-à-vis labor unions, leading negotiations, monitoring collective bargaining agreements, and ensuring compliance with labor legislation. Plan, organize, and prepare performance reports; draft collective bargaining agreements; manage signature processes; update records; and maintain archives. Serve internal clients by guiding and responding to departmental HR-related inquiries in accordance with internal company policies, applicable legislation, and collective bargaining agreements, while also providing occasional support on social matters. Support the Labor Relations and Occupational Safety teams regarding PLR (Profit Sharing Plan) and CIPA (Internal Accident Prevention Committee) processes. Manage the company cafeteria, ensuring operational efficiency, a positive employee experience, and alignment with internal health and safety policies. Analyze the organizational structure of business units jointly with management and propose changes and solutions when necessary, using HR processes and tools to ensure employee appreciation and prevent labor liabilities. Analyze business unit termination requests, question management for deeper contextual understanding, assess cross-functional impacts within HR, weigh pros and cons for management, and ultimately—when required—propose the optimal termination strategy, aiming for maximum respect toward employees and mitigation of potential labor disputes. Guide management through the offboarding process and support employees regarding internal and external procedures involved in termination. Support managers and employees with monthly timekeeping system closure, clarifying questions about attendance entries and guiding them on how to make corrections, ensuring no pending issues remain at month-end. Ensure the effective operation of corporate HR programs by guiding employees on specific processes and tools to meet established deadlines, objectives, and company policies. Collaborate closely with other HR functions to monitor hiring, prepare transfer requests, conduct promotion and salary adjustment studies, and manage termination analyses and development programs. Analyze and validate third-party hiring requests, ensuring alignment with internal policies and guidelines. Manage the full lifecycle of third-party contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and monitoring contractual clauses. Coordinate with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams) to secure approvals and align on guidelines. Maintain updated records and documentation of all third-party contracts in company systems. Provide support and guidance to internal departments on third-party hiring processes and best practices. Who you are * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resource Management, Law, or related fields. * Experience in labor relations and engagement with labor unions. * Experience in administrative management of corporate cafeterias. * Prior HR experience, preferably as a Business Partner (BP), is desirable. * Knowledge of labor legislation and union regulations. * Familiarity with HR processes (recruitment and selection, training, development, performance management). * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Interpersonal skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders (employees, unions, suppliers). * Proactivity and decision-making capability. * Intermediate English or Spanish proficiency for interactions with suppliers or international training sessions.
