Equipment temperature control and safety **Job Category:** ================= Manufacturing & Operations **Job Family:** =============== Machine Operations **Job Description:** ==================== **DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS** Ensure daily boiler operation by regulating feed mechanisms to enable water heating and vaporization, performing refills as necessary; Continuously inspect valves, water pumps, pressure instruments, oil levels, and other control instruments (pressure gauges and thermostats), performing required adjustments and connections while monitoring for potential leaks to ensure proper functionality; Occasionally perform bottom blowdown maneuvers for internal boiler cleaning; Operate wastewater and water treatment equipment (ETE/ETA); Monitor tank and pipeline content flow toward treatment reservoirs by observing control panels and monitors; Add chemical products for residue separation and sedimentation, arranging for their disposal; Conduct water chemical analysis, as well as analyses of stored mixtures and solutions in tanks, aiming to remove impurities, layers, scale, and process-related deposits; Collect samples and subject them to chemical analysis by adding reagents; Verify measurements against indicators specified in work instructions and make appropriate adjustments prior to discharge authorization, if necessary; Operate compressors and control chilled water systems to maintain temperature in machines, equipment, storage areas, and pipelines; Perform continuous maintenance and monitoring to ensure safe and proper operation; Update equipment operation logs and process evaluations (e.g., temperature and pressure indicators, interventions for solution and mixture adjustments, volume of discarded waste, etc.) for quality standard control and observation; Request replacement parts when needed; Maintain simple upkeep of pipelines, valves, fittings, instruments, and accessories—cleaning, lubricating, and replacing damaged components—and request support from internal maintenance teams or external technical assistance for more complex issues; Remain vigilant regarding individual and collective safety during equipment operation; Follow specific procedures acquired through training for both equipment and personal protective equipment usage; Perform other job-related tasks as directed by leadership; **WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED** High school diploma and boiler operator certification; Minimum one year of experience in boiler operation or completion of mandatory technical internship; Time management, quick reasoning, customer service orientation, attentiveness, diligence, dynamism, prompt response capability, teamwork spirit, initiative, planning, control, learning potential, interpersonal skills, and logical reasoning.
