Supporting team learning and problem-solving Join Mig Plus, a Cargill brand Job opportunity at the Casca-RS facility PURPOSE AND IMPACT OF THE ROLE The Lead Operator will carry out assigned leadership activities and perform a variety of responsibilities across an entire production facility, including operating machinery and mechanical equipment, and performing maintenance. They must ensure production targets are met, support the production of quality products, and maximize yield, while adhering to all safety policies and regulations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform assigned leadership activities. * Operate equipment and tools (extruder) across the production facility as needed, applying broad understanding of diverse and multidimensional processes to execute required tasks. * Support others in learning operational procedures, provide information to colleagues, and recommend changes to ensure clarity and effectiveness of instructions, including documenting procedures. * Perform maintenance and lead troubleshooting efforts across the facility, making adjustments or instructing others as necessary. * Ensure team production activity records are entered into computerized systems. * Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, front-end loader, ride-on floor sweeper, front-end loader). * Understand and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe and clean workplace, and control the pace and progress of work on assigned equipment and processes, requiring awareness of interconnections with other process areas.
