Present radio news bulletins, information segments, and features—opening and closing programs, making transitions, introducing segments, columns, reports, and service features (weather, traffic, public utility). Report and narrate events. Read and interpret news articles, briefs, and reports with appropriate intonation, adherence to journalistic objectivity, and clear pronunciation; also narrate specials, audio documentaries, and educational content. Interview sources and guests. Conduct live or recorded interviews, formulate questions, moderate discussions, manage speaking time, and ensure balanced participation between interviewee(s) and listeners. Produce and revise scripts. Participate in topic planning, writing and adapting texts for spoken language, reviewing scripts, rundown sheets, and lead-ins to ensure smooth delivery during broadcasting. Interact with the audience and team. Engage with listeners (reading messages, phone/social media participation) and coordinate with editing, sound design, and reporting teams—managing timing, jingle insertions, background music, and commercials during live broadcasts. Operate audio mixing consoles and equipment. Adjust volume levels, audio channels, microphones, VU meters, insert jingles, music, announcements, and hybrid connections for phone calls, monitoring signal levels and returns during live transmissions. Assist in agenda and schedule organization. Help assemble the journalistic programming schedule, organize bulletin, interview, and segment rotations, and update internal program timelines. Support programming coordination. Suggest schedule adjustments, participate in planning meetings, and provide feedback on audience metrics, program dynamics, and technical requirements.
