




Supervise laboratory and analytical activities, ensuring the reliability of results, compliance with technical standards, and traceability of quality control processes from raw material receipt to final product and co-products of corn ethanol. * Supervise routine chemical and physicochemical analyses of raw materials, intermediates, and final products (ethanol, DDGS, oil, CO₂); * Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of analytical equipment (HPLC, spectrophotometer, pH meter, conductivity meter, balances, etc.); * Coordinate industrial water analyses (boiler feedwater, cooling towers, reverse osmosis, effluents, surface/groundwater), ensuring compliance with internal and environmental standards; * Supervise biomass and waste analyses (moisture content, solids, ash, calorific value); * Validate critical process control results, ensuring accuracy and providing technical support to operational areas; * Develop, review, and ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports; * Manage a team of laboratory analysts and technicians, promoting training, performance evaluations, and professional development; * Control inventories of reagents, standards, and laboratory supplies, ensuring traceability and validity; * Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards; * Support process optimization projects, analytical efficiency improvements, and laboratory cost reduction initiatives. Requirements: * Experience in an industrial chemical laboratory, preferably in biofuel plants or ethanol production processes; * Technical Knowledge: Instrumental analytical techniques (HPLC, spectrophotometry, titration, gravimetric and chromatographic analyses), physicochemical analyses of industrial waters and effluents, quality control of ethanol and co-product (DDGS, oil, CO₂) industrial processes, treatment and characterization of biomass (solids, moisture, ash, calorific value), laboratory standards and practices (GLP, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, laboratory safety), interpretation of results, technical reporting, and use of statistical and process control tools; * Management experience and analytical routine planning skills are desirable.
