Job Summary: A Pharmacy Cashier handles customer payments, operates the cash register efficiently and accurately, finalizes sales, and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty. Key Highlights: 1. Ensuring accuracy and security in transactions Handle customer payments by operating the cash register in an agile, accurate, and courteous manner, ensuring correct sales completion, cashier accuracy, and contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty. * Operate the pharmacy cash register, correctly registering products and amounts in the system to ensure transactional accuracy. * Receive customer payments via cash, credit/debit card, Pix, health plans, or other accepted methods to complete sales securely and efficiently. * Perform cash register opening, closing, and cash withdrawals according to internal company procedures to maintain financial control and process security. * Verify change and keep the cash register organized, performing counts and restocking as needed to ensure smooth service and prevent financial errors. * Request pharmacist verification for controlled or specially regulated medications, notifying the responsible pharmacist to comply with legal and sanitary regulations. * Refer technical questions to the responsible pharmacist whenever necessary to ensure customers receive appropriate and safe guidance. * Register customers in loyalty programs or health plans using the pharmacy’s system to expand the customer base and promote benefits. * Offer available payment methods strategically and aligned with the customer’s profile to facilitate sale completion and improve purchasing experience. Assist in product packaging and delivery to the customer, maintaining organization and courtesy to ensure service agility and customer satisfaction. * Ensure proper verification and documentation in sales of controlled medications to comply with applicable legislation. * Support store team members with operational tasks as needed to contribute to the unit’s smooth operation. * Comply with company safety and confidentiality procedures, adhering to internal policies to protect organizational information and assets. * Ensure cashier operation accuracy through attention to processes and correct system usage to avoid discrepancies and rework. * Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
