Job Summary: The Technical Drafter / Design Engineer will develop and detail storage system and steel structure projects, producing 2D/3D drawings and documentation, collaborating with engineering, production, and procurement teams. Technical support during production and on-site assembly The Technical Drafter / Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and detailing technical projects for storage systems and steel structures, producing 2D/3D drawings, manufacturing documentation, and bills of materials (BOM), in compliance with internal standards, technical regulations, and customer specifications. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, production, and procurement departments to ensure project accuracy, feasibility, and quality. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Interpret, analyze, and convert technical specifications, sketches, and engineering requirements into detailed technical drawings and 3D models. * Develop and review structural steel drawings, supports, connections, components, and assemblies—including sections, details, and views required for production and assembly. * Prepare bills of materials (BOM), component specifications, and technical instructions for fabrication and assembly. * Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve design conflicts, and propose optimized technical solutions. * Ensure all drawings and technical documentation are up-to-date, accurate, and properly archived in internal systems. * Apply relevant technical drawing and engineering standards, codes, and procedures applicable to the metallurgical sector. * Support production and shop-floor execution as needed, providing technical guidance and clarifications to fabrication and assembly teams. * Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and cross-functional team sessions, proposing practical improvements and solutions. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed technical course in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or related fields; * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Production) or similar is desirable. * Prior experience in technical drafting and projects involving steel structures, storage systems, or the metallurgical industry is highly preferred. * Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and experience with 3D tools (e.g., Advance Steel, Tekla, SolidWorks, or similar). * Ability to produce manufacturing and assembly drawings and documentation. * Knowledge of applicable technical standards for drafting, fabrication, and assembly of steel structures. * Skill in generating and reviewing bills of materials (BOM) and technical documentation. **Additional Information** Our benefits include: * On-site meals at no cost to the employee. * Partnerships with SESI Betim Club, universities, pharmacies, and language schools. * Unimed National health and dental insurance plan (co-payment based) — extendable to spouse, children, and stepchildren — monthly premium of R$15.00 per person * Life insurance; * Optional transportation allowance or fuel subsidy (R$300 for motorcycles and R$400 for cars), with no payroll deduction; * Profit-sharing program (PLR) — amount set by the union; Grupo SA is a company with over 26 years of operation in Brazil, founded in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, aiming to provide solutions in display equipment and steel structures.
