Proactively mediate conflicts in the school environment **Job Summary** The School Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the physical safety of students, staff, and visitors, as well as protecting the institution's assets. This professional manages access control, conducts perimeter monitoring, and, most importantly, proactively mediates conflicts within the school environment. **Main Responsibilities** * **Access Control:** Monitor the entry and exit of students, parents, staff, and service providers, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises. * **Periodic Patrols:** Conduct regular inspections of courtyards, hallways, sports courts, and surrounding areas to identify potential risks or irregularities. * **CCTV Monitoring:** Operate and observe camera systems to detect suspicious behavior or incidents in real time. * **Traffic Flow Management:** Assist in organizing traffic flow and ensuring student safety during peak hours (arrival and departure). * **Incident Prevention:** Intervene peacefully in disorderly situations using de-escalation techniques and notify school administration or authorities when necessary. * And other duties relevant to the position **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Education:** Completed high school. * **Certification:** Valid Security Guard Training Course (up-to-date refresher training). * **Interpersonal Skills:** Friendly, attentive demeanor with ease in interacting with young people. * **Preferred Qualification:** Specialized training in School Security or First Aid. **Desired Competencies** * **Emotional Stability:** Ability to remain calm during emergencies or student conflicts. * **Keen Observation:** Ability to notice environmental changes or unfamiliar individuals. * **Clear Communication:** Ability to deliver instructions politely yet firmly. * **Proactivity:** Take preventive action to avoid accidents or unauthorized intrusions.
