Job Summary: Professional responsible for managing personnel, budget, coordination, and control of drilling, blasting, and mine infrastructure activities, aiming to optimize operations, reduce costs and risks. Focus on safety, sustainability, and compliance Responsible for managing the area's personnel, preparing and managing the budget, coordinating and controlling drilling and blasting activities, maintaining access roads, maintaining drainage systems, cleaning sumps and waste rock piles — all to meet established targets (quantity, quality, schedule, cost, safety, and environment). Optimize mine infrastructure activities to reduce operational and safety-related costs and risks. Equipment sizing, KPI monitoring and evaluation, analysis of operational data. Manage and lead the team to ensure compliance with internal company standards and all applicable legal requirements. Manage the fleet of infrastructure equipment. Collaborate closely with mine operations, planning and geology, logistics and product yard, engineering, occupational safety, and environmental departments. Perform engineering project evaluations (e.g., waste rock piles, access roads, etc.). Support Management in preparing reports, calculation records, and presentations. Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills. We have projects at various stages of the mining lifecycle — from greenfield development through to full-scale operations — and employ over 2,100 professionals nationwide, all committed to our mission. Currently, we operate three iron ore mines in Minas Gerais: Baratinha and Mongais Mines, part of the Baratinha Complex, and Pedra Branca Mine. Our first iron ore operation, Baratinha Mine in the Vale do Aço region, began operations in 2014 and features a wet processing plant with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tons. In 2024, the Mongais Project commenced operations, with a dry processing capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, increasing the Baratinha Complex’s total capacity to 4.0 million tons per year. In João Monlevade and Itabira (MG), the Pedra Branca Project started operations in Q3 2025\. The project holds resources totaling 130 million tons, including 33 million tons of high-grade material, and is expected to reach full-capacity production of 2.0 million tons per year using dry processing only. Additionally, Bemisa operates a pilot-scale gold project in Água Azul do Norte, Pará State, near the Carajás polymetallic district. Developed since the greenfield stage, the project does not use tailings dams for waste disposal and employs predominantly local workers.
