Whether onsite or remote, we foster genuine connections and build a collaborative workplace enriched with moments of exchange, fun, and development—such as happy hours, game nights, and conversation circles. **Responsibilities and duties** **Your work will include** * Tackling challenges across the sectors Smarthis serves; * Developing solutions for Smarthis projects; * Designing and implementing data integration, data cleansing, and data transformation solutions; * Applying Machine Learning models and optimizing pipeline performance. **Requirements and qualifications** **What you need** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or other related sciences; * Solid experience as a Data Engineer or in related roles, for at least two years; * Experience emphasizing historical data integration and application of Machine Learning models; * Proven experience with the Azure ecosystem, including services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, among others; * Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala, as well as skills in data visualization tools; * Familiarity with distributed data architectures, Big Data technologies, and knowledge of best practices for cloud-based data storage and processing; * Advanced English for comprehension and writing; * Experience handling large-scale data and knowledge of performance optimization techniques. **Nice to have** * Experience in data integration projects within complex, high-availability environments. * Knowledge of other public clouds, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); * Experience with other Big Data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka; * Relevant certifications in Azure or related areas; * Academic publications or contributions to open-source projects related to data engineering, machine learning, or data analytics; * Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning; * Experience with workflow automation and orchestration tools; * Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and image processing techniques; * Participation in projects involving implementation of Data Governance and Data Security solutions. **Additional information** **The selection process:** **We believe that a transparent and respectful selection process is a fundamental part of a positive candidate experience.
