MACHINE OPERATOR (METAL FORMING)

Job Summary: Professional to operate metal forming machines, interpret technical drawings, adjust parameters, and perform basic maintenance, with emphasis on precision and quality control. Responsibility for basic preventive maintenance of equipment #### **Responsibilities** * Operate metal forming machines—such as press brakes, shears, and rolling mills—according to technical specifications and drawings. * Read and interpret technical drawings, production orders, and process sheets to configure machines. * Adjust machine parameters—including pressing force, bending angles, and cutting speed—to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts. * Monitor the forming process, identifying and correcting deviations or non-conformities in produced parts. * Perform basic preventive maintenance of machines, such as cleaning, lubrication, and component inspection. * Visually and dimensionally inspect produced parts using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors). * Record production data—including part quantities, cycle times, and incidents—in production control systems. #### **Requirements** * Proven experience (minimum 6 months) operating metal forming machines (press brakes, shears, or rolling mills). * Course in Mechanical Technical Drawing Reading and Interpretation. * Solid knowledge of metrology and use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors). * Experience programming and adjusting CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines for metal forming. * Familiarity with various metals and alloys (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and their forming characteristics. * NR-12 certification (Occupational Safety in Machinery and Equipment) or willingness to obtain it. * Completed elementary education. #### **Skills** * CNC Press Brake Operation * Shear Operation * Technical Drawing Reading * Metrology (Calipers, Micrometers) * Machine Parameter Adjustment * Dimensional Control * Industrial Safety (NR-12) ### **Employment Type:** CLT ### **Department:** Manufacturing \- Headquarters
