Requires agility, organization, and teamwork. **Job Description – Kitchen Assistant and General Services Assistant** This position combines operational support in food preparation and environmental sanitation, including cleaning of areas, utensils, and equipment. The professional prepares ingredients (peeling/cutting), organizes the kitchen, washes dishes, and cleans work areas, ensuring organization and compliance with food safety standards. It is a fundamental support role for kitchen operations. **Main Responsibilities (Kitchen Assistant):** * **Preparation (Mise en place):** Peeling, cutting, dicing, and portioning vegetables, meats, and greens. * **Kitchen Support:** Assisting chefs in preparing salads, desserts, sandwiches, and simple dishes. * **Cleaning and Organization:** Washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and utensils; cleaning countertops and surfaces; maintaining order in the work area. * **Storage:** Receiving and storing ingredients, organizing inventory, and verifying food supplies. **Main Responsibilities (General Services):** * **Sanitation:** Cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, and windows in the restaurant/kitchen. * **Waste Management:** Removing trash and production waste to maintain a sanitized environment. * **Maintenance:** Restocking cleaning supplies, such as soap and paper towels. **Common Requirements:** * Primary education (literacy). * Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety (good practices). * Agility, organization, and teamwork. **Effective Job Posting Model:** * **Title:** Kitchen Assistant and General Services Assistant (or Kitchen Helper) * **Activities:** Washing dishes/equipment, peeling food items, assisting in salad/sandwich preparation, sweeping/cleaning the kitchen, removing trash. * **Profile:** Dynamic, responsible, and committed to hygiene.
