




Job Summary: Solid Compounding Assistant to work in a laboratory, performing weighing, compounding of formulations, initial quality control, organization, and support. Key Highlights: 1. Essential support in pharmacy laboratory routines **Position:** Solid Compounding Assistant **Work Location:** Compounding Laboratory **Main Responsibilities:** * **Weighing and Measurement:** Assist in accurate weighing and measurement of raw materials and supplies according to production orders and pharmaceutical formulas. * **Formulation Compounding:** Perform compounding of solid pharmaceutical dosage forms, such as capsules (encapsulation), sachets, and powders, using specialized equipment. * **Initial Quality Control:** Conduct average weight determination and formulation verification to ensure compliance with specifications. * **Organization and Cleaning:** Maintain organization, cleaning, and sanitization of laboratory workbenches, utensils, glassware, and equipment, following Good Compounding Practices (GCP). * **Inventory and Storage:** Assist in inventory control, receipt, storage, and organization of raw materials and finished products. * **Documentation:** Record performed activities and procedures on weighing sheets and internal documents to ensure traceability. * **General Support:** Provide support to technicians and pharmacists in daily laboratory routines. **Requirements:** * **Education:** Completed high school (minimum requirement). Technical courses in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or related fields are preferred. **Additional Information:** * This position requires compliance with RDC 67/2007 (Good Compounding Practices for Pharmacies) and other applicable regulations. * It is a role demanding seriousness and responsibility due to the nature of compounded products. **Knowledge:** Basic mathematics and calculation skills (for weighing and dosing), plus aptitude for chemistry/pharmacy. **Skills:** * Concentration, attention to detail, and meticulousness (essential to prevent compounding errors). * Organization and efficiency in task execution. * Ability to work in a team. * Basic computer literacy. **Experience:** Prior experience in this role or in a laboratory environment—preferably involving solid dosage form compounding—is highly valued.
