**Responsibilities and Duties** **RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:**
* **Accounting Classification and Posting**: Analyze, classify, and post accounting documents, ensuring correct allocation to accounts and cost centers.
* **Accounting Reconciliations**: Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying and correcting possible inconsistencies.
* **Tax Calculation**, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.
* **Preparation of Financial Statements**: Prepare balance sheets, trial balances, Income Statement (DRE), Cash Flow Statement (DFC), and other financial statements.
* **Account Analysis**: Conduct analyses and necessary adjustments to ensure the integrity of accounting information.
* **Audit Support**: Organize documents and provide support during internal and external audits, supplying information and clarifications.
* **Management of Ancillary Obligations**: Prepare and submit tax and accounting declarations, such as SPED Contábil ECD, SPED Fiscal ECF, and DCTFWeb, as required by legislation.
* **Regulatory Monitoring**: Monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations and adapt internal procedures accordingly.
**GENERAL SKILLS:**
**1\. Preparation and Analysis of Financial Statements:**
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the balance sheet, Income Statement (DRE), and Cash Flow Statement.
**2\. Accounting and Tax Compliance:**
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and current tax legislation.
* Monitor and implement changes in accounting and tax regulations.
**3\. Accounting Recordkeeping:**
* Record financial and accounting transactions in accounting books, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
**4\. Account Analysis and Reconciliation:**
* Perform accounting reconciliations, identifying and correcting potential errors or inconsistencies.
* Analyze account variances and investigate discrepancies.
**5\. Internal Audit:**
* Collaborate in internal audits by providing required documents and information, and implementing improvement recommendations.
**6\. Management Reporting:**
* Prepare management reports offering insights into the company’s financial status to support decision-making.
**7\. Profit and Loss Determination:**
* Participate in profit and loss determination, identifying and analyzing costs and expenses.
**8\. Regulatory Agency Liaison:**
* Prepare and provide information requested by regulatory agencies.
**9\. Cross-Department Collaboration:**
* Work closely with other departments to ensure integration of accounting data.
**10\. Process Improvement:**
* Identify opportunities for improvement in accounting processes and implement efficient solutions.
**11\. Training and Development:**
* Train and guide team members or colleagues on accounting matters when necessary.
**12\. Monitoring of International Standards:**
* Stay updated on international accounting standards, such as IFRS, and ensure their application where relevant.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences with a minimum of 3 years of experience;
* Active registration with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC);
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet tools;
* Proficiency with integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar;
* **Proactivity**: Constant pursuit of process improvements and professional development.
* **IT Tools**: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and electronic spreadsheets (Excel).
* **Communication**: Clarity in written and verbal communication, especially when presenting data and reports objectively.
* **Ethics and Reliability**: Commitment to confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
