Description:
Mandatory:
* Completed undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
* Knowledge of the stomatognathic system and specific speech-language pathology diagnoses related to dysphagia.
* Opportunity for first experience in the field.
Desirable:
* Computer skills: Basic Microsoft Office suite.
* Knowledge of tracheostomized patients.
* Six months of experience in the role.
Work Location: Professor Carvalho Luz Hospital, Nazaré
* Provide high-quality speech-language pathology services aimed at rehabilitating swallowing and/or communication, preventing and managing complications related to hospitalization that fall within the scope of speech-language pathology practice, as well as generating scientific knowledge in this area.
* Address communication aspects, including oral language comprehension and expression, as well as alternative communication methods, promoting effective interaction between patients, their families, and the hospital team.
* Evaluate readiness for weaning from nasoenteral tube feeding and initiation of oral feeding.
* Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions.
* Rehabilitate patients diagnosed with dysphagia, dysphonia, aphasia, dysarthria, orofacial myofunctional disorders, and other conditions affecting swallowing and communication.
* Perform other related duties as required or at the discretion of the supervisor.
