* Title: * Utilities Technician * Unit: * Binatural Bahia. * Education: * Technical or higher education preferred in electrical engineering, electrotechnology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or related fields. * Specific knowledge and skills: * Experience in utilities operations. * Experience in basic maintenance of compressed air compressors, chilled water systems, and heating and steam systems. * Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals to develop control plans and troubleshoot issues. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong commitment to safety and quality. * Knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations, based on NRs (Normas Regulamentadoras). * Responsibilities: * Comply strictly with the company’s quality, safety, and environmental standards, with particular focus on critical-risk activities and classified EX areas. * Monitor utilities equipment operation and track energy performance indicators, focusing on efficiency and availability of water, air, electrical, and thermal systems, for internal analysis and problem resolution together with the Utilities and Maintenance teams, suppliers, and technical representatives. * Comply strictly with scheduled inspection and preventive maintenance planning for machinery and equipment; supervise supplier services; and monitor water and energy measurement and control reports, with primary emphasis on NR13 boiler and pressure vessel inspections. * Respond promptly to urgent operational, safety, sustainability, or quality-related requests and emergency contingencies, supporting and restoring water, air, steam, and liquid waste systems in accordance with applicable standards and procedures to reinstate proper conditions for critical installations and equipment. * Support Planning and Control of Maintenance (PCM) in developing and reviewing systemic preventive maintenance plans and inspection, calibration, and lubrication routes, aligned with machine manuals, supplier technical recommendations, and benchmarking—defining task lists with appropriate frequency, timing, and resources. * Identify critical materials and spare parts for machinery, register them in inventory and preventive maintenance plans, ensuring correct specifications, stock definitions, and inspection and replacement frequencies. * Develop procedures and conduct operational technical training to disseminate knowledge across production teams, specifically regarding critical process machinery—including centrifuges, reactors, vacuum pumps, screw compressors, centrifugal compressors, compressed air compressors, and chillers. * Support PCM in planning and scheduling utilities inspection and preventive maintenance routes, ensuring system availability and reliability. * Conduct and actively participate in mechanical and electrical failure analyses and problem resolution related to critical process equipment. * Collaborate with shift operations teams and be available to cover team duties during absences, training, or vacations. * Maintain accurate, up-to-date, evaluated, and reliable records of measurement and control for critical utilities systems, in compliance with regulations and procedures. * Serve as the technical reference for utilities for maintenance and operations teams, applying new techniques and best practices for WCM (World Class Manufacturing) under the PM pillar. * Contribute to engineering and continuous improvement initiatives for utilities—from study through implementation—with follow-up on delivery and required performance. * Draft technical-operational procedures for equipment, work instructions for routine utilities activities, step-by-step lessons learned, and general lessons learned.
