**Responsibilities and duties**
* Oversee unit opening and closing procedures;
* Ensure timely unit opening, identify potential delays, and take appropriate measures;
* Monitor patient service delivery, guaranteeing quality and responsiveness to patient needs, resolving special situations whenever necessary;
* Contact clients during service delivery, by phone, or via other communication channels to clarify doubts and questions, as well as respond to complaints registered by them;
* Monitor staff attendance, adherence to work schedules, absences, and tardiness at the unit;
* Verify and validate overtime hours, absences, and personnel incidents according to HR regulations;
* Apply disciplinary measures—including warnings, suspensions, and terminations authorized by Operations Management;
* Inspect compliance with unit routines per standard operating procedures;
* Execute operational and technical procedures;
* Conduct technical/administrative training and continuing education; monitor practices of receptionists, laboratory assistants, biomedical professionals, and other staff;
* Guide and supervise team activities within pre\-analytical processes; disseminate re-collection indicators and conduct training to ensure excellence in collection services;
* Ensure effective communication with the team regarding technical and corporate information (incident logbooks, weekly dialogues, emails, Smart Mail, official notices, etc.);
* Be accountable for full compliance with all operational and technical procedures at assigned units;
* Monitor, promote performance improvement, and enhance team and pre\-analytical process effectiveness—through indicator dissemination, feedback sessions, and performance evaluations of all unit staff under their responsibility;
* Request improvements and interact with other laboratory technical and administrative processes (analytical, post-analytical, support processes, etc.);
* Accompany health surveillance inspections and visits from other state agencies at units;
* Respond to health surveillance demands related to respective units;
* Maintain legally required documentation updated and available for inspection by health surveillance authorities;
* Safeguard company assets under their responsibility, ensuring unit cleanliness and professional appearance;
* Request and monitor building maintenance services for units under their responsibility, whenever necessary;
* Monitor, resolve, and route internal claim discrepancies to the relevant department;
* Manage inventory of supplies and materials used at units, ordering supplies according to usage flow;
* Attend meetings with coordination, management, and related departments when requested;
**Requirements and qualifications**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences;
* Experience in blood collection and team management;
* Excellent organizational and time management skills;
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software tools;
* Strong verbal and written communication skills;
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
