The professional will be responsible for ensuring the quality, organization, and appropriate display of fresh products, contributing to customer satisfaction and smooth sector operations. If you are passionate about fresh products, attentive to detail, and seek a dynamic work environment, join our team! #### **Main responsibilities:** * Receive, inspect, and store perishable items (meat, dairy, deli, produce, bakery, etc.), following hygiene and food safety standards. * Organize and restock shelves, counters, and displays, ensuring correct pricing and product presentation. * Monitor product expiration dates and quality, implementing stock rotation (FIFO — First In, First Out) and identifying items unfit for consumption. * Safely and efficiently operate sector-specific equipment (slicers, scales, packaging machines, etc.). * Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product selection, answering questions, and offering suggestions. * Clean and organize the perishables section, maintaining an immaculate workplace compliant with sanitary regulations. * Help prevent losses and spoilage through proper handling and storage of products. * Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental sales and quality goals. #### **Mandatory requirements:** * Completed high school education. * Prior experience as a Perishables Operator or in related roles (e.g., butcher, deli clerk, produce stocker) in supermarkets or retail. * Knowledge of good food handling practices and hygiene standards. * Availability to work commercial hours, including weekends and holidays. * Proactivity, organization, and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. #### **Desirable qualifications (advantageous):** * Food handling or hygiene training course. * Experience in large supermarket chains. * Basic knowledge of inventory control systems. * Residence near the Vasco da Gama area. #### **Benefits:** #### **Work schedule and working hours:
